Saturday Showdown- Pen v. Pencil

No.2
Real name: pencil
Arsenal: eraser, occasional help from a pencil sharpener
Bio: a real softy on the outside, but about as hard core on the inside as you can get! No.2 started life as part of a collective, slaving for the man, begging for a little bit of nourishment. When the lumberjack cut down the tree, No.2 went through a long conditioning and re-building period that eventually turned him into the tool of destruction (and draft creation) that he is today.

Bic
Real Name: pen
Arsenal: a hard outer casing and a plastic/ steel composite head
Bio: having lived a life of luxury as a much sought over mineral, Bic thought things couldn’t get any better. He was right. A mine then pulled Bic from his life of luxury, placing him in confinement where he hardened and was given a gooey, wet inside. He now strives to once again make his mark on the world.

The battle:

Being a piece of paper is hard. You are constantly ripped apart, tattooed, de-faced. The thing that gets a piece of paper through its life is the idea that he could eventually team up with a utensil of writing or drawing to create something that would change the world. Every so often, paper gets let out and he is assigned the companion that could potentially take him to stardom. Two veterans arrived. The rivalry proceeded…

“Are we seriously here at the same time again?” asked the pencil.

“It wouldn’t be so bad if you were more consistent!” shouted the pen back at pencil. Their rivalry had been going since the two had been conceived. No clear winner has ever been determined.

“Consistent? If anyone is inconsistent it’s you! Sometimes you work, sometimes you don’t, and it’s always when you are needed that you are the most useless!” responded the pencil

“You know, I don’t like that kind of talk.” Pen then stood against pencil. Sometimes pen was lucky and the pencil was shorter than he was. When that happened, pen felt more dominate in the fight. Today was not that day. That’s fine. Pen has dealt with this thing before.

“What are you going to do about it little man?” taunted the pencil. He was about to say more but a stream of ink prevented him from saying anything more.
“That’s what I would do bub.”

The fight ensued. Like so many battles before, pencil and pen are pretty much neck n’ neck through the event. For every ink blot that pen projected, pencil would erase and hit pen with the metal aluminum of his eraser barrier. The fight continued until each utensil ended up on the opposite ends of the desk.

“Looks like there is only one way to determine who wins this round” acknowledged pen.
“Handwriting contest?” asked pencil
“Handwriting contest.”
Both contestants headed towards the sheet of paper, with careful and meticulous skill, each combatant showed off their finesse until the sentence was written.

The winner is: Pencil
