Spiritual Sunday- Shakespeare

Billy Shakespeare. A lot of people will say that they don’t “get Shakespeare” either complaining that he is too hard to read or his wording is too archaic or that they are “hipster so they don’t need to read Shakespeare”.
So now I am going to talk about one of shake spears greatest writing. One that has been passed through generations and is often hailed as the greatest of its time!

Simba the lion (well, that’s original. Google Kamba the white lion.) Ends up having a really crummy uncle (said zazu: there’s one in every family”) who wants to kill off Simba and his father Mufasa so that he may become the king. Scar is successful in killing Mufasa and sends Simba away into the savannah. Simba was a man who thought he was a loner, but he got by with a little help from his friends Timon and Puumba. Simba doesn’t want to face his past because the past can hurt. That’s when Simba is visited by the ghost of his father, Mufasa, who reminds Simba to keep in view who he is.

There are moments when we will lose sight of who we are. When those times happen, understand your potential, from the day you arrived on the planet and blinking stepped into the sun. There is more to see than can ever be seen. More to do than can ever be done, and God made it all happen for you because you are his child. Remember who you are.
