The Disney multiverse
Part 1: earth prime and how it all connects.
Through the greater part of the 20th and 21st
centuries, the Disney properties have been there to shape your childhood and
your adulthood. How does it all connect though? Many theories have been created
and several have fallen. This is the connective multiverse theory that will end
them all- and it all starts with a mouse.
Welcome to Theory Thursday where I try to explain the canon behind different properties as well as share some insights I get from favorite stories.

Walt Disney creates Mickey Mouse and his friends- Minnie, Pete,
goofy, Donald, etc. these characters exist in their own world that has a direct
connection to the Walt Disney company. From this prime earth, all the other Disney
earths expand to include their own worlds and stories. For the majority of
these worlds existence, they have been separated by an invisible magic barrier.
This all changed when the darkness was released.
Kingdom Hearts shows how the worlds were separated and later became one. |
Kingdom hearts is the story of how all of these stories and
worlds were able to connect themselves. The darkness was released and crushed
the magic barrier that separated the worlds and made them forever aware of the
multiverse around them.
To appease the on-edge Disney characters, Mickey set up the “House
of Mouse” as a common peace zone with the intent to let everyone get together
and get to know one another (that is why the seating chart was such a big deal
in one of the episodes). Unfortunately this idea led to some problems like the villains
all getting together to take over the house of mouse, in turn taking control of
earth prime. That’s why it’s such a big deal that the club stay’s open.
Magisphere:
The Magisphere is the stuff that the worlds sit in. imagine
all the worlds are bits of cereal and the Magisphere is the milk that they sit
in. this space is able to be traversed in a few ways, most notably by gummy
ship and magic beans (as explained in “Once Upon A Time”).
The barrier magi-wall that surrounds the Magisphere and
contains it. Several notches exist in the magi-wall that lead to other
multiverses such as Marvel and Final Fantasy.
Worlds we have been introduced to so far:
Earth: the sphere in which we live. occasionally a character will make it into this world (think Enchanted) but mainly this is where the source power for the Magisphere comes from.
D-Prime: The residence of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and others. This world is like a central wormhole of magic which explains how one minute Mickey will be in the modern era and the next in the middle ages. This earth also acts as a central hub to where crossovers across different franchises can be possible- hence Phineas and Ferb Star Wars. Duck Tales, Goof Troop, The Goofy Movie, most Mickey and friends cartoons, and Phineas and Ferb take place in this earth.
Keep up with my blog every Thursday and we will delve deeper
into the multiverse. We will start defining earths and if we are lucky, every Disney
property will be defined in a canon.

this theory is just for fun and is my way to explain how all of Disney's properties are canon. in no way is this theory or map endorsed by the Walt Disney Corporation. please don't sue me.
